In our Traveler’s Guide, you’ll find all the practical information you need for a trouble-free trip, from check-in to formalities and access to the right services.

Check-in

You’ll need to go to the check-in desk when you arrive at the airport, especially if you’re traveling with hold baggage.
To make check-in easier, don’t forget to bring a valid form of identification with you, and to ask about formalities and baggage conditions.

FOR SCHEDULED FLIGHTS WITH RYANAIR

Opening the recording :

  • Porto: 2h15 before take-off (ID card or passport)
  • Marrakech: 2h15 before take-off (Passport required)

Registration deadline :

  • Porto: 40 minutes before takeoff
  • Marrakech: 40 minutes before takeoff

Passengers travelling with cabin baggage only are requested to present themselves at the boarding gate no later than 30 minutes before the aircraft’s departure.

Online check-in is compulsory and must be completed no later than 2 hours before flight departure. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a charge of 55 euros per passenger per journey for boarding.

FORMALITieS

Travel formalities vary according to destination and residency status. For a worry-free trip, be sure to check the necessary documents in advance.

AUTHORIZATION TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY FOR MINORS

Since January 15, 2017, a minor traveling alone without a parent or guardian must present an authorization to leave the country, downloadable from service-public.fr (Cerfa form Nยฐ15646*01).

IDENTITY CARD OR PASSPORT?
  • European Union (EU) residents: For flights within France or to EU countries, a valid identity card or passport is sufficient. For destinations outside the EU, a passport is mandatory, and some countries require an extended validity period.
  • Non-EU residents: For flights to France or other EU countries, a valid passport is required. Please note that driver’s licenses and residence permits are not accepted as valid identification.
SPECIFIC DOCUMENTS FOR ACCOMPANIED MINORS

For travel with a child outside France, the accompanying person must present :

  • Authorization to leave the country signed by a parent
  • A photocopy of the signing parent’s valid identity
  • And, if the surname is different, proof of parentage (livret de famille or birth certificate).

BaGgage

Preparing your luggage properly is essential for a trouble-free trip. Here are the rules you need to know about cabin and hold baggage.

FOR SCHEDULED FLIGHTS WITH RYANAIR

Carry-on baggage :

Each passenger may take one piece of cabin baggage measuring no more than 40x20x25 cm, to be placed under the seat.
Passengers who have opted for the priority option may take on board an additional piece of baggage measuring 55x40x20 cm (maximum 10 kg), to be placed in the cabin.

  • Priority: entitlement to 2 cabin baggage items.
  • Non-priority: second baggage item to be checked in (fee according to weight and size).

Dimensions must be strictly respected to avoid additional costs. Children under 2 may travel with a changing bag weighing up to 5 kg.

Hold baggage :

Hold baggage can be booked online at ryanair.com.

  • Weight allowance: 20 kg per first bag, up to 3 bags per person.
  • Options: sports equipment and musical instruments (max. 20 kg) must be registered in advance.
  • Excess weight: โ‚ฌ11/kg extra.
FOR VACATION FLIGHTS

Please consult your travel agency or tour operator for specific policies.

Security

Your safety is our priority. As soon as you arrive, keep your luggage under surveillance. Abandoned baggage disrupts airport operations and can result in a fine of up to โ‚ฌ750.

ITEMS PROHIBITED FROM TRANSPORT

Certain items are strictly forbidden in cabin and hold baggage, including :

  • Gas (cylinders, stoves), corrosive and toxic products
  • Explosives, fireworks, rockets
  • Flammable products (gasoline, lighters), radioactive materials
  • Lithium batteries in the hold (phones and cameras authorized in the cabin)
ITEMS PROHIBITED IN THE CABIN

Certain items are prohibited in the cabin for safety reasons:

  • Firearms, knives, scissors (blade 6 cm and over)
  • Anti-aggression bombs, sharp objects, mountaineering poles
  • Aerosols, liquids over 100 ml
  • Toys imitating weapons or dangerous objects
ITEMS ALLOWED IN THE CABIN

Under certain conditions, you can take the following with you in the cabin:

  • Liquids and gels in quantities of less than 100 ml, in a transparent 20×20 cm plastic bag
  • Prescription drugs, baby food
  • E-cigarettes authorized in the cabin, but not in the hold.

ASSISTANCE FOR PASSENGERS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY

For an optimal travel experience, passengers with reduced mobility or special assistance needs are invited to contact the company and book assistance before departure. You can take advantage of our dedicated telephone service.

UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN

Please note that Ryanair does not offer a service for unaccompanied children. Passengers under the age of 16 are not allowed to travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

Animal transport

Travelling with your pet is possible with some airlines under certain conditions. Be sure to check the terms and conditions with your airline’s customer service department to ensure a smooth trip.

RYANAIR AND ANIMAL TRANSPORT

Ryanair does not allow the carriage of animals, either in the cabin or in the hold. However, an exception is made for guide dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers. This special request must be made directly with the airline.
